Post Premium Internet Radio

hi folks,

i've been a sirius customer for a few years and have enjoyed premium internet radio for several months.

unfortunately, i'm now, all of a sudden, only receiving a standard 32k stream, and customer service doesn't know what to do.

any ideas?

thx!

I had that problem. I was using Premium then premium stopped working and I could only listen to standard.

The problem was something very small and I can't remember how I fixed it but I think I deleted all Internet Explorer history, cookies and temp files in browser options and it came back. Give that a try.

"It's updating" is what I was told. More like it's down. 32kbs sucks now that I'm used to 128kbs.

Question

Yeah, leave it to me to upgrade to premium today, of all days. The "free" player can't stay connected, and every time I click on the Premium button, it takes me to the sign up page again. I've already signed up, but don't seem to be able to access the Premium feed at all.

sub, the exact same thing happened to me... click on premium and you go to a signup page, as if you're not a premium customer.

customer service verified that this is an issue - first time ever, of course! - and told me to call back within 24 hours... what? just fix the #$%^ problem.

Bluenotes,

Did you try my suggestion on clearing all internet files and history? I'm pretty sure I fixed my problem by going into Internet Explorer options and cleaning all temp files out.

Oh yeah, Wiped everything out of my cache, history, cookies, everything. In both browsers (IE6 and FF2) no less. Still no joy. I'm not sure I got signed up right. They only charged me .51 cents, and it is pending still even though I gave them a good CC. The same card I signed up on Sirius with back in the summer as a matter of fact. I don't get it.

And when I go to the actual signup page, the $2.99 a month premium internet "upgrade" option isn't an option anymore. So somewhere, it knows I signed up, but doesn't work at all.

Yep. I left the office for a while and came back, fired up the computer and tried to log in. Worked fine, "premium" player now works, and the feed has been playing dropout free for over 70 minutes now.

Apparently they were doing some updates or were having internet connectivity problems or even server problems. Whatever it was, we'll never know, but the main thing is that both the online streaming and the Stiletto WIFI are working GREAT again!
