Default Old vs New Sportster Replay

Hey
I have had my Sportster Replay for about 16 months and started to get the flickering screen, antenna not detect errors which I now see are common errors. So I go and buy from Sirius.com a new Sportster Replay....didn't want to change models since I have a home/car dock/boombox/executive dock....

So I get it and eagerly activiate all to find out that the FM modulator doesn't work. I call Sirius technical support who think I dont know how to hook it up etc....finally they admit that the new replays have this weakened transmitter.

So what do I do....
is there a device I can hook up to my home dock line out to create a FM signal like my old sportster?

is there a device I can hook up to my car dock line out to create an FM signal like my old sportster...I really dont want to hard wire anything...?

should I go back to my flickering screen??? (seems to be my first choice)

I also have a stiletto but the FM transmitter on that doesnt seem to be much better...

Thanks

It's sad but true, but the FCC has crippled our beloved FM transmitters (damn them for enforcing the rules!). You can buy an external FM transmitter like this one:

http://www.ccrane.com/radios/fm-tran...ansmitter.aspx

It'll hook up to the line out on your home dock and broadcast through your house. I've never used this one but it is supposed to be pretty good. It sucks that it's another $60 to spend, but it's worth it to get the Sirius signal spread throughout the house.

Change the color of the sportster from orange to green. Seemed to fix mine BUT the antenna error will eventually evolve to the point of broken.

Default Same problem here..just got my new one...YUCK

Same problem here, my refurbished Sportster will not FM Transmitter the signal at all. I used to get it all over my property, now I don't get it anywhere, not even 2 feet away.
