Question Sportster Replay - NOT Getting Channels 187-193

Hi, Everyone.

I have the Sirius Sportster Replay, but do NOT get Channels 187-193. Those channels do not even show up on my channel guide. Every other channel, however, has ALWAYS been received with no problem.

The following possible solutions have been eliminated, as they don't help at all:

1. Calling Sirius to send a 're-activation' signal.

2. Sending a 're-activation' signal myself via my online account.

3. Asking a live Sirius representative for help or suggestions.

4. Restory "Factory Default Settings" on my unit and then sending a re-activation signal.

One less-than-helpful lady with Sirius customer service thought that since I got Channel 198 on my dial (which has never been a problem) , she was confident my problem was fixed with absolutely no action on her part. After several minutes of trying in vain to patiently re-clarify....and re-clarify.....and re-clarify......the issue to her, I mercifully thanked her for help just to save my own sanity.

Does anyone have any insight on what I could try. Thanks!

The only thing I can suggest is to call Sirius Tech support and tell them to refresh your signal.

I am guessing it is a harware issues, it may one of those older verssuin radio, not covering new channels. Check the manifactured date, if it is built before 05/2006 you may have problems with new channels. I have an old Sanyo radio can not get those new channels.

I f you have those new Sportster radio, you must have a difective radio and send it for warranty service if it is still under warranty?.

Try doing a hard reset.

1) Go to the sirius id screen.
2) Press band
3) Press display
4) Press and hold down memo.

Then try sending the signal from the website or call in.

If that doesnt work. I dont know what else you can try.
Am crossing my figers.

Thanks for the feedback.

Okay, I tried this. (see quote above)

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work.

Any other suggestions? ALL assistance is greatly appreciated.

I bought my radio prior to 05/2006, so it was obviously made BEFORE this past May.

So, it goes without saying that I would have to ship my unit back to SIRIUS via the warranty department?

Any chance I could keep my current unit to do an "FM Transmitter TRANSPLANT " from the old unit to the new unit they send me?
