Post New Ford dealer installed Sirius

My father just purchased a 2007 Ford Sport Trac. He payed the dealer 200.00 dollars to activate his service. However when he tried to use the online streaming the Sirius help desk said he couldn't use this feature until he "paid" for the service. My father thinks he has already paid. (See 200.00 earlier). Is this standard operatiing procedure or is he getting the run around? I am new to the forum, so if I have posted in the wrong spot, please forgive me. Thanks for any advice.

You have to find out what the $200 was for. Could have been $200 just for the radio install. Not that uncommon when some dealers charge $200/hr to install this stuff.

Also, I don't know of a plan that goes for $200.

I agree with rusty. I bet the $200 was for the tuner and install. Can he use the Sirius in the truck? Or just hear channel 184?

He can use the radio. According to him the 200 was for the install and the 1st 6 moths of service, but Sirius won't let him use the online until "He" buys it. The dealership must have done it.

According to this
https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/...oom/Sirius.htm

if the Sirius was factory installed, a 6 month introductory subscription is included.
