Thank's for all your help. Your all right after I posted my message I realized that cigarette lighter is my only power source. The only reason why I would take out the adapter everyday was because my sirius radio would stay on with the car ignition off.

I never understand why people do not pay to hook it up direct.
Yes, I've always felt the cassette deck is better than FM.

Thinking about buying the cassette adapter from the Sirius online store. Anyone else use this? At $9.99 it's about as cheap as I've seen:

Don't do it. Go out and get the Sony adapter at CC or Target. BB probably has it too.

If you cheap out on the adapter, you're likely to be disappointed with sound quality and noise from the internal mechanism. Search the forum and you'll find this topic discussed.

Point taken. I've read through a few threads praising the SONY unit but want to hear what sort of results folks here have had if any with the SIRIUS cassette adapter. Is it a worthwhile upgrade from the FM transmitter given the low price or is it just junk??
