Default 2006 Mazda Miata Nightmare!

I have had to live with HORRIBLE static since the MORONS at BOSE installed a TRASH RADIO. Does anyone know what I can do to provide an auxilliary input for this radio?
THANKS!!

I can only assume that you are using a pnp via the fm modulator? If that is the case, get yourself a wired fm modulator.

I think he means you are using a wireless connection. You need to get an FM modulator that hard wires your Sirius. It kills the static, and works !

Problem is the TRASH BOSE HEAD UNIT has no outputs to hard wire the Sirius. If I could wire the radio to the head unit I wouldn't have this problem!

The box that Jay linked a picture of goes "in-line" with the *antenna cable* going into the radio. When the Sirius receiver is on, a relay in that box connects the radio's antenna input *directly* (not wirelessly) to the Sirius' FM modulator, whereas when the Sirius receiver is off it connects your car's antenna as usual.

Hence, it's a solution that works with pretty much 100% of radios.

The sound quality will be close to that of a hard-wired connection via, e.g., Aux-In jacks -- it will eliminate all the clicking/popping/etc.

Have you tried tuning to another FM station for your FM modulator? Somewhere there is a site that tells by zip code what station will give you the best results.

http://fmchannel.sirius.com/

Get the FM Direct unit that was previously mentioned though. It's $20 and will do wonders.

That's a better site than the one I was thinking of. Much faster than the one I found linked elsewhere here.

And for 20 bucks I'd be interested in one of those. Is there a link?

Thanks. I may be in Circuit City today. If so, I'll pick one up.
