Default Tails for car antennas

Anyone know of a good type of adhesive to use? Mine doesn't want to stick because I didn't place it on an entirely flat surface.

Most of us don't even use them. I put the antenna at the edge of the weather stripping so there isn't any cord showing and just skipped the tail.

It came with 3M brand sticky tape. 3M is one of the best makers of doublesided tapes for the automotive industry. You can find it at most parts stores. It will usually be called "emblem mounting tape". Stores like Walmart, etc. also carry it sometimes or any auto paint and body shop will have it. The paint/body supply shops will also have it in various width.

You will most likely have to cut it down a bit but it is quality tape that won't come unstuck easily.

Thanks. I screwed up when I was trying to initially place it on my truck, so it lost some of its stickiness.

This is the way I did mine also AMLIND1. Gets rid of a part that can give problems in the future. 70,000 miles on my last car over 3 and 1/2 years with just the antenna with no tail. The antenna itself was never a problem.
