Default FM Direct Adapter vs. Chrysler Auxiliary Input Adapter

I have a somewhat technical problem/question. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and I am getting static and occasional loss of signal (the display flashes a no antenna message) and I am looking at different re-install options.

I have been directed to a FM Direct Adapter vs. Chrysler Auxiliary Input Adapter. I am looking for a good installation and I have read on various posts that I want to use AUX-inputs for this. Any recommendations between these two adapters?

Also, what is the best antenna setup?

The Chrysler adapter is the way to go. It will give you the best audio quality you can get. It won't be a WHOLE lot better than the FM adapter, but will still better.

The Chrysler adapter is a bit more expensive than the direct FM adapter. I guess it depends on your budget. If it were my decision, I'd go with the Chrysler adapter.

PS.. The direct adapter won't help with the "no antenna" message.. I'd check to make sure the antenna was plugged in correctly and nothing is loose in the radio socket or on your dock.
