Default Sportster 4 Vehicle Dock Aux In?

Okay, where is it? I purchased this particular unit because, from my research, the vehicle dock had an aux in that you could plug an MP3 player into. However, I get the SP4-TK1 kit home and the dock does not have it. I called Sirius and they said they change up the contents. That makes no sense.

Any advise?

I talked to the guys at the local Circuit City where I purchased the unit and it looks like all of the SP4-TK1 kits are that way. However, even if you look at the pics on Crutchfield and TSS Radio they have the input.

Thanks.

It was on the front left hand side of the car dock.

It looks like a headphone jack.

But, I heard they removed it. Not sure about that.

Yeah, it looks like they removed it for some reason. I e-mailed TSS-Radio and they said that it has been removed from the Universal Doc.

Wonder why? I would think it'd be a big plus for folks who have an MP3 player too that they carry around.

yea, the original docks have it, I was lucky to grab one with the aux in, I ordered mine from some place in washington state off ebay back in late august. I still to this day have no idea why they took it out, and nobody else seems to know the reason either.

I just purchased a Sportster4 from CC and it had the aux port but it has a rubber plug inside the port. I wonder if I'm still able to use it if I remove the plug.

Anyone know? Would be handy if I could use it.

Pull it off and check. Someone here at SBS had the same thing. They pulled out the rubber grommet and the AUX-IN worked. Let us know.

Well, after removing the plug that was melted inside the jack.....IT WORKS!!

How cool....although it was a pain in the neck to get all the rubber out.
