Post Antenna Install Question!!

I installed my Starmate ST2 in my 06 Ranger. I ran the antenna through the brake light and onto the roof. Got a problem now.... I went through the car wash today and water leaked through the hole. Any ideas how to keep the antenna run like this but fill that hole in to keep from leaking. THANKS

You might want to try some clear silicon caulking, like the kind that plumbers use.

you are reading it wrong....but i'll forgive you this time. The brake light has 2 screws on the sides that you take out and the light comes off. I have the antenna run and just pushed light against it and screwed it back in tight. is there any kind of weather-stripping that i can put in there

Yea, Silicone is you're best bet. Are you sure you tightened the screws enough? I've heard people running their antenna's thur the 3rd break light with no problems but I didn't want to chance it and go what you're going thru.

Talking

i will probably end up running the antenna through the firewall and up the windshield. we had 2 inches of rain the other day and the headliner where the wire comes in was SOAKED . Unless i can find a better way, i will run it around the front.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
