Unhappy Aux Problems

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum and just got the S50 for my 05 Ford Focus last week.

Reception was bad through the FM transmitter so I took it in to Best Buy to do the aux install, since my stereo has an Aux button.

After further examination, they told me that it didn't have an Aux in on the back and explained that it was for an optional CD player??? I asked them if there was an adapter available or a way around it and they said no. So I figured I'd check with ya'll and see if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks for any help. I'm a total newbie so be gentle.

I hope I am not wrong, but if your radio has an aux connection on the front, you can buy a cable to connect the S50 to the aux connection. I've bought 2 at Radio Shack for about $6 each. Works great.

Same here. Sounds great in the AUX port.

Yeah, there is no aux port in the front. I wish lol. Would make my life entirely way too easy.

The aux button may have also been for a cd changer and quite a few companies like usa spec and peripheral make adapters that will plug into your changer port and give you RCA inputs

Thanks Jam. I was just at the Peripheral site. What exactly should I be looking at?

TSS-RADIO.COM has some nice aux adapters that also supply the 5VDC power that the radios require. Seems like a nice kit, there are a bunch listed for Ford, guess you need to call for the correct listing.

**EDIT** The XM5-FRD04 lists the 2005-2006 Focus.
