Default Delphi XM Repeater

I bought the Delphi XM Repeater and I am successfully using it with my Stiletto10 + Home Kit. I know the antennas have LNAs. Does anyone know if the LNAs for XM are similar to the ones that sirius employs? (i.e. do they get the same evoltage levels to power them?)

Again, I stress that no one should tell me it won't work... I have been using it successfully for several days now. However, I will agree that there may be a bandpass filter during the conversion process from 2.3 GHz to 900 MHz and then back to 2.3 GHz and therefore some loss in the process. The antenna feed into the repeater is showing 3 bars and after the repeater I only get 2 bars. But, that could be just because the repeater is located about 70 feet from the receiver and there are at least 2 concrete block walls in between. It's solid signal-wise with very few dropouts. I estimate I get 1 or 2 dropouts lasting about a second every 15 minutes which is acceptable to me and better than my previous arrangement of having the antenna in the window which was quite spotty coverage-wise.

Thanks for any technical insight related to this setup.

If you in fact got it to work, you are one of two people out of dozens that I know that have tried it and that includes me. I have no technical knowledge about the LNA's.

Hmmmm... That's interesting. When you tried it were you using an XM or Sirius branded antenna? Also, did you check signal strength of whatever antenna you used prior to plugging it into the repeater? Please be patient with the questions if they seem like stupid questions. I'm just trying to vector in on what's different with my setup and why I got lucky getting it to work...

Thanks.

Tried XM and SIRIUS antennas, Antennas worked just fine when plugged directly to their perspective devices. The one other person that said he got it to work was using an XM antenna, because with a SIRIUS antenna he got ZERO signal. However, everyone else that did this test including some very technical guru's duplicated what he was doing exactly with the same results I had. It just didn't work. The only difference at this point in the test I ran back then and now is that I didn't have a Stiletto, but then neither did anyone else, including the one guy that got it to work.

Ok. Thanks for the responses. Maybe the Stiletto (and/or Home Kit) has something in the interfaces (either at the antenna input to the repeater or the repeater antenna connection to the Home Kit) that allows it to work with the Repeater.

Thanks again for the responses.
