Default Sirius volume problem

Hi everybody.Great site you have here.I just installed my sirius starmate 3 in my car a couple of days ago.I use the wireless fm transmitter method. Now while i get a good signal and hardly any interference,I find that I have to turn the volume on my car radio well up to hear anything, and with the car radio up i hear a hiss sound. My wolume on the starmate is all the way up.Anybody know how I may be able to fix this?Appreciate any help. Thanks

Did you turn up the volume on Starmate 3 ???

If it is like my S50 it has a seperate volume control.

It's cause the "wireless FM transmitter method" is about as quality as dial up internet. Works, but just barely. What kind of head unit is it? Does it have a AUX IN?

yes..been hearing that the fm transmitter method is not that good.Although i must say it's not that bad so far.Anyway..I got a 98 plymouth breeze with the original radio..no aux inputs just 2(I think) plugins on the back and antenna connection. How would I hardwire my statmate 3 to this type of radio? Thanks

If the radio has CD changer controls you can get a PIE adapter.
If not you can use a FM direct Adpter.

If it has a tape player get a tape adapter.

FM is LAST RESORT.
