Default Mount for Stiletto in an 01 F150

Hello everyone

I spent last night getting my stiletto hooked up in my truck. Right now I just wanted it in there working and my install isn't finished. Have to get off the cigarette lighter and fm modulation route. Anyway I'm using the vent mount for now that came with the vehicle adapter.

I was looking for vehicle specific mounts and so far have only found something similar to this:

http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/pro...098-f_dmt.jpeg

Now my truck doesn't have the auto temperature thing like that picture, it's a 3 knob job. Now judging from that picture that thing is angled so the top of my unit would be going toward the front of the truck. So it may work for the other radios but the Stiletto is pretty tall and that vehicle mount makes it even taller.

So my questions would be:

(1) Would it even be possible to fit the stiletto in that or would the console there make that impossible?

(2) If it does fit is that going to cover up my air conditioner controls?

(3) If yes to either of these is there any other style of mount for a 2001 F-150 XLT with Auto trans. available? I really like that one that's on the passenger side of the deal there like Made In Michigan's Explorer install much better than the bottom of the a/c controls like in the link I posted but can't seem to find one like that for my truck.

I could bite the bullet and go ahead and get the thing just to see if it works but figured I may as well ask first and save myself a $35 mistake. So any help is much appreciated.
