man i feel you! yes i got the same thing. they even sent my replacement to the wrong address months after I changed my address. they also told me they didn't have any supervisors available to help me one day.

they also promised to overnight mine, but they never sent any tracking info as they promised. they are a complete mess over there which is unfortunate

Look at the S50 forum for horror stories for Sirius warranty exchanges. If you sent yours in, push for a service credit.

Well, I finally got my radio replaced. It only took about 9 calls to the warranty center and having them tell me it was overnighted 4 different times!! Seems like there is a bad breakdown of comunication between the service center and the people who send out the units.

IF you are waiting for your replacement, just call them everyday! sooner or later, they will get it to you maybe

I can't even get that far. I need my Starmate 4 replaced and have to fax them my info and wait 24 hours to call them back. Faxed it Thursday night, called them saturday "we can't find the fax, call back Monday". I call back today and they tell me to send them another fax, so I have to do that tonight then wait 'till Wednsday.

Watch your credit card statement because there is a 50% chance that you will get charged for not returning the defective unit. Then wait and see how much fun that is when you have to get you that straightened out with that crew.

I've been dancing with them for 2 weeks. No one will help. Supervisors don't answer calls nor return calls. The operators say they can't help. NO ONE CARES. They are happy to get you business, they don't seem to care if they keep it. I have not heard these horror stories from XM.

I finally got through their archaic fax system to register my unit (took a week). They are really good at excuses.

On the plus side, it only took them 1 day to UPS my new radio to me. I will make sure to have heavy duty tracking on the unit I am returning.

My horror story goes like this. I bought my wife a Starmate Replay for Christmas and also got her the AUX input connector so she would not have to use the FM modulator. Well when you plug in the AUX the sound only came out one side and if you wiggled the wire it would play out of both. So i called customer service and they told me I had to wait 30 days for the unit to be activated for the Sirius warranty to kick in. So I waited and called the warranty department the girl was pleasant I thought. She took my info and I opted to keep the radio and give the credit card info. This was last Thursday so yesterday I decided to call and get an update. I spoke with William and he had no record of me even calling in the system. I about lost it and became very upset with him. I asked to speak to a manager and his exact response was this "They are all gone now but I can trasfer you to their voicemail and you can leave a message but the odds of one calling you back are slim to none. At this point I got rude becasue this was not the answer I wanted. He kept telling me I had to fax info in and pushing to get me off of the phone. To which after a few minutes of arguing I hung up and called back. Got another rep that for some odd reason pulled my claim right up. He was honest with me and said the Starmate Replay was discontinued and would be replaced with the Sportster 4 and they had no timetable as to when one would be available. At this point I am just upset at the lack of customer service I had and will call again this evening. These posts I read about the warranty department are just unacceptable in my opinion.

Funny. I have an ST4 (Starmate) that they were replacing. They sent me a Sportster. I called them and told them they sent me the wrong one. They said I can keep it if I want and send back my ST4. The Sportster seems to have the exact same functionality, just a different interface so I kept it.

Well the wife just called me and told me we got a new Starmate by FedEx today. I am shocked really after reading the horror stories on here about the warranty center. It only took about a week to get it all resolved.
