Angry Sportster 4. no power, 2nd one I have ordered

Well, my wife bought me a Sportster 4 for Christmas, and before checking out she clicked on "add Howard Stern keychain" to this order. Great!

I open up the package for Christmas and go to activate it! Once I finally get through to an operator I say that I want to switch my old subscription from my Sportster 1 to the new Sportster 4. Well, the jackass on the phone says that the Radio that my wife ordered, with the free keychain, is an "add-on" radio. I have to add this radio to my existing account, not change over an old radio??? WTF?!?! I looked all over the website and it says nothing about it being an add-on radio. So at my expense ($15) I send the radio back.

Well, I decided that I really wanted the Sportster 4, and by being a dish network subscriber, (sirius.com/dish) I got a 20% discount, and ordered the radio. I also used another code howard20, and got it all with shipping for $100, Pretty good deal!! THe only thing is the radio that they sent me doesn't work!! It won't power on at all!!

So here is my dilema. Go through the whole ordeal again, and ship it back and wait to get a new radio. In the time I have to wait, I will miss the $30 rebate because I could not activate this radio by the 2oth.

Would I gain anything bny calling Customer Service and complaining?? Free months or gear or anything??? Or is it too much of a hassle???

Well, I just checked the fuse thanks to anothers post (thanks). It looks like that is the problem. Shouldn't they check these things before sending them out?
