Thats strange...after the first time I logged into the sirius streaming service, i chose Premium, and, then, everytime after that, it would automatically go to the premium service.

Do you have your cookies enabled? Can that have anything to do with it? Anyone ?

My default browser is Firefox which might have something to do with it. I'll check the cookies for Sirius also maybe that'll take care of it. In the meantime if anybody else has a suggestion please let me know.

Thanks

I know there are quite a few.

One more thing, can you specify whether it not it uses the premium internet (Sirius) service or the standard ?

PLease advise, and, thanks again.

Big issue I found with it (though I do like it) is that you can't lock your screen. For those with some computer security background (or young kids around the house) it may cause you to cringe. Because it is simulating typing on the keyboard, it requires it to be unlocked. It also flakes out with online streaming if you remote desktop in.

Wish it grabbed the id tags, but beats the fade ins and outs of a poorly placed antenna with an actual radio and needing to change channels if you record from multiple sirius stations.

If you grab something from the replay guys it can help avoid the sound card and line setting levels. Forget what it is called.

Another simple method I've used is to simply log onto the online player (I use the Yahoo widget) and record the stream using Audacity (free download program). You can then edit and crop as needed and and save it out as an mp3.

I've also used the mic input for recording but found that it is a mono input (on my laptop anyway).

I've been a huge Replay AV advocate (see earlier in thread) but this new version "Replay AV 8" sucks! It has more functions but I don't like it. It doesn't always convert like it should and there's an annoying pop-up when it converts the file. I'm reinstalling Replay AV 7. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

One of the issues I have is that after recording continuously with AV 8 for a certain period of time a browser window pops up asking if I'm still listening with a sound alert that pops up every minute or so. Anyone know how to get rid of this annoyance?

yea...I have been having trouble with Replay AV as well. I am new to the program (within a week or so)

I love how it is easy and the program will log in to record and such. The program seems to work like a charm when I am home...but when I try to do scheduled recordings it burns out.

I think it has something to do with the pop-up box. I see it come up at 1:30 min, then 3 hours. I am using the replay browser...so thats not stopping the pop-up. Then its logging out of the player after 5 minutes and the program has been crashing. I tried to do 1 hour 30 min recordings in 4 split sessions (its a long show) and that has not fixed the problem. It has maximum number of logins the other day.

Any advice???

A friend lent me his Sound Forge program. I tinkered with it yesterday and it records off my Starmate real good. I save the files as Windows audio files and I get about a Meg per minute.

http://www.applian.com/blog/updates/replay-av.html

Well this would have been nice to know...I did get stream on to work...but theres no automation and such...so I am gonna try this upgrade.

December 03, 2007
Replay A/V - 8.40
This version is an exciting breakthrough for XM & Sirius customers. Now you can record using Stream Capture, which lets you record two or more shows simultaneously, with perfect quality, and eliminates many tuning errors or problems with an "Are You Listening" prompt.

Here's what's new:

- Fixed problem where sometimes View ALL in Convert/Transfer tool would fail to show sub folders.
- Added stream capture for Sirius, XM radio. The 90 minute limit on Sirius recordings no longer applies.
- Sirius capture now works with Guest accounts and CD-Quality accounts.
- Fixed a problem with Replay A/V not always opening properly after it just closed.
