Default Starmate 1 Failure

Yes, I have an original Starmate 1R. It has been sitting quietly in my living room supplying my home system with Sirius, 24/7, for well over 1 year.
It has not been moved, tuched, connected or disconnected all that time...except for the occasional dusting.

Suddenly, its lights went out!
When I disconnect the power adapter and then plug it in again, I get (2) blinks of the screen light and then nothing. I can do this all day and I will get the smae (2) blinks every time I insert the power cable.

The power cable shows 12.3 V DC and no AC.

Any thoughts?

Sure sounds like the radio is broken.

I just brought my other STARMATE 1 in from the car and that one won't work, so now the power supply is the main suspect, since I KNOW that the one from the car works.

It turns on for about 1 second and then goes dark. I believe that the power supply is failing under load

Can I get a substitute power supply anywhere?

Default Problem Solved!

PRoblem has been solved. Radio Shack Universal 12v Power Supply ('H' plug designation) powered it right up...$20

Sirius Power Supply showed good with meter but failed under load.

NOTE: The Radio Shack plug oes not seat in all of the way, but it holds well and works. The Sirius plug may be a proprietary length.
