My friend is on the same US plan with a Canadian bought Stilletto. He gets all those channels.Must be an internal chip issue. Sirius beats the hell out of XM, but at least with them EVERY unit had the same programing. Either a US plan or a CDN one.
Thanks!

Before I traded my S50 in at the end of December, it did not get those channels.

FWIW, my 3 year old Audiovox PNP2, will NOT pick up the Canadian channels that are above channel 184. I bought a Starmate 3 and it does get them.

I think older radios aren't capable of getting the Canadian channels above 184... It seems the new receivers (Stiletto, InV, Stratus, Starmate 3/4 and Sportster 3/4) can all pick up the new channels. There are probably a few more receivers that get them, but I don't know wich ones...

I have an old JVC and I don't get them but I doubt old technology is the reason. The Playboy channel is on 198 and I get that one fine. Why would a few channels inbetween not come in?

The Audovox PNP2 will pick up 192 as well, but not the Canadian channels. I dunno why .. But this behavior is common in old radios.

FWIW, I just talked to the service folks at Sirius and they assure me that all radios should get the channels between 184 and 198. I have an Audiovox PNP2 and still do not get those channels. They tried to resend the signal several times. They now suggest it must be a "defect" in my radio. Seems odd that the only defect would affect those inbetween numbers. Its very frustrating. I do not want to invest in a whole new line of equipment. Anyone have any suggestions/tips or should I just give up trying to get those channels?

I do not care what customer service said, not all tuners get these channels and that includes the S50. There were only a select few of the newer tuners that were released this past year that pick them up. Your tuner isn't going to pick them up.

Thanks, I can live without these channels. I just wish CS knew this so I didn't waste my time trying to get them.

I agree with you, here you've been jumping through hoops and it was all unnecessary. The fact is these guys just don't know and they apparently get very little training.

You must be right i had a problem with a radio i had for a couple of weeks and it took me 2 months to get them to replace it. When you call one hand has absolutely no idea about what the other is doing. Each tells you to call the other (on differing numbers) and when you do invariably the next person starts to tell you to call a new number and you say is it 1 800 xxx whatever and they say yes then you say they just sent me here blah blah. Pretty bad.
