I havn't seen a pic of an H2A antenna painted yet..

But you certainly can do it!
Just make sure there is no lead content in the paint you use.

I doubt anyone uses lead based paint these days...

But anyway, I dropped it off at my body shop this morning to get painted and they confirmed that they do not use lead based paint I'll have more photos to show off (hopefully) once I get it painted and installed.

That type of FM transmitter sucks; I bought one for a CD player and returned it within an hour.

SatRadioRules will become famous soon enough

You want to avoid metallic-based paint -- that will interefere with reception.

This might be a really dumb question... but...

Can the H2A be used like a "walkman" / portable type device with headphones?

Is there anything out there yet that can do this, will there ever be?

It can be used with Head phones. But its not portable enough and there is no way to power it in order to like carrying it around on your person. There are rumors of a walkman type device, but that is many months away I am afraid.
