Default Kenwood KTC-SR902 2nd Gen Tuner is pre-order @ Crutchfield

Crutchfield site says it will have in stock June 23. Didn't see anything about 2nd Gen antenna though.

Well if Crutchfield is doing what they did with the H2A, that date is very preliminary and some say its probably not going to be till mid to late July. Who knows for sure though? But I woudln't hold my breath if you know what I mean. Many of us got so excited by the date they listed for the H2A only to see that date go by the wayside by more than a month or so.

It still says it has a built in fan. Weren't they getting rid of the fan on the 902?

When is the off board tuner meant to be integrated with the head unit, any time lines?

A few integrated models may be available early next year.

On the SR902 picture, it has connections for "To Slave Unit" - this is the pass through equiv? and "To Controller" - whats this?

The sat/rf antenna connection is a single socket now, how can this connect with the CX-SR10?

Most likely a CD changer.

Two-to-one antenna adapters will be available once the 902 is released.

Is the 902 not going to need any power or might the purpose of the "to controller" port be for this? The lack of the power thingy confuses me.

The KTC-SR902 has no screw terminals for power. Instead, it uses the power provided in the IP-Bus cable from the headunit.

I do not know the exact reason why the 901 had external power screws, but my theory is because the first generation units drew too much power to share the headunit power supply.

The controller port could be used directly for the display/controller used on the FM Modulator accessory for the current KTC-SR901, the model number escapes me... However, i'm sure you know what i'm talking about.
