I posted thi selsewhere, but since i was talkingabout it here as well, I figured I'd let you know of my success with the TERK SIR3 antenna!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, just got the TERK SIR# antenna today... I dont have myuch time to play around with it tonight, but i did plug it in, and put it on the windowsill (inside) and things are promising!!!!

I am getting signal strngths between 7 & 10 with it "INSIDE" my window and so far no dropoffs....

Its only been 15 minutes, but that is a lot more non-stop reception than I have been getting!!! If it stays like that, i am going to be quite happy!

Thanx for your help!

But the Sirius Antenna i have to put on my window sill to get ANY reception... If i close the window screen in front of it, no reception!!!
And for two hours every night that the signal disappears completely..

Im not in the boondocks either. I am only 12 miles from New York City...Is this a common complaint? Is it the Audiovox Home unit antenna or is it Sirius's signal that is just weaker than XM?

If it werent that Sirius streams their stuff online, i think i would have cancelled by now - but the online stream is great in that i can listen at work (which i always wished XM wouldve done)

Now that it's been awhile, are you still having good performance with the SIR3? Also, do you know if this antenna is a dual terrestrial/satellite through a single cable?

SiriusGS300-The SIR3 is a dual terrestrial/sat antenna. I have the Kenwood version, and it is exactly the same except mine doesn't have the silver tint and mine says Kenwood instead of Terk. All single wire antennas will get Sat AND terr.

Sadly, no... Well let me rephrase that... Im getting much better performance than I did using the Audiovox home model antenna, but i still get a lot more fadeouts than I'd like... I'd say the new SIR3 antenna works about 80% of the time....(which is a lot better than the 30% i was getting with the AudioVox home antenna)

I guess I have to think about putting the SIR3 antenna on the roof...
