How many here are waiting for the AudioVox to purchase a PNP? It seems the delays just keep building up. It sounds like the best guess is middle of August availability, but at this point I'll believe it when I see it.

Can anyone who works at BB or CC check their price sheet for anything new? I would like to know about the price of walkmans for either xm or sirius. Maybe you could post under the guest option of xmfan if you are worried about your job.

The shuttle is in our system at CC, but its not availible in stores or in our warehouse... The walkmans are not in our system at all, and probably won't be until about 2 weeks before they are availible.

No, but i'll see if i can get some clues next time i work. I'll check max levels, and warehouse inventory.. I'll also see if the item is avalible for special order. All of these could give me clues on when its gonna be ready.

I too am awaiting the Audiovox
plug and play, with elongating
dissapointment as the actual
availability date appears to
recede into an ever-growing distance. Why doesn't Audiovox
specifiy a delivery date? And no
one seems to really be able to
supply an authorative answer.
As a matter of fact, I called Audiovox directly a few weeks ago
and specifically asked a technical
support staff person if it would indeed be available in June, and
was assured it would be. If the
suspense does not end very soon I
am going to break down and get the
Kenwood!

I think there are already several people here that got impatient waiting and got the Kenwood. I am sure glad I didn't wait. I've been enjoying my H2A for over a month now and I LOVE IT!

I agree that Audiovox needs to announce a set release date, but they won't. You would think with all the info on the SIRIUS site etc telling about it, they'd be trying to get this thing available ASAP. I just hope once its actually released it will be worth the wait. Audiovox isn't exactly known for quality audio products. If the delay is about them getting it right, then it will be worth it. Audiovox and SIRIUS need a winner. We already know the Kenwood is a winner.

One possible reason is the company wants to make sure Ford and Nissan and Chrysler have enough chipsets to meed demand before releasing inventory to the aftermarket.

Crutchfield now has the AudioVox listed on the website with an availability date of Aug. 4th. How good has Crutchfield been at predicting delivery dates?

My H2A was delivered by Crutchfield about a week earlier than promised and before CC or BB had it in stock. Love it.

Has AudioVox givin a specific date? or just a time window?? I think Electronics are the hardest to have a specific date. There are tons of variables. Just give it time and they will arrive.

In time it will be here, but it seems to be about 2 months behind schedule from what was mentioned in the 1st quarter conference call in May. They lose market share to XM every day that it's late, especially not having a boombox.
