But the Streamer looks nice!
Ben, if you hit the power button on the Streamer... guess what it does? Turns that baby off smooth! LOL. No, I have found no key on the remote or front of the unit that makes it go back. Not even Prev does this when in Preview Mode. Strange, but not a big deal really.

Default Audio Level Control

Thanks for the great work! Love my H2A, but I'm tempted by the Streamer.
One question, or possibly correction: under the SkyFi for Audio Level Control you have "YES (still very low)". My Skyfi has a very high output, even at the lowest setting. My H2A on the other hand has a low output at the highest setting. Any chance these were switched?

Nothing in the world wrong with the Kenwood H2A. My only issue with it was the small display and text.

Actually I used my experience in regard to Skifi to say the output was very low. There were many post in regards to this at one time. However, I think they probably fixed this issue along with the hissing issue that the Skifi had when it was first released.

I also found the H2A to have a lower output than say the Audiovox or the Streamer, but not nearly as much as the Skifi. I guess I need to just remove that comment and let each person decide that for themselves.

However, on the Brix Streamer it does not automatically return to the display screen. You must make a selection to go to another stream or click on the same stream you are currently listening too. This seems like an oversight on the Streamer.
Dab,

I just found out that in order to return to the display screen, you press the menu button twice. The first push will take you to the menu screen, the second will take you back to the original display. I am not sure if this shortcut will work using the remote because I am at work and only have the actual Streamer here to use.

DAB, I have listened to several versions of the Skyfi, and they all have a very low output. Even Ziggy said it once, so it must be true! I will grant them that it was corrected with the Roady.

Guys, that was more of a hint that there may be one in the future (slightly far-out future). Don't take it to heart that one is anywhere near being complete.

I just like to harass DABster a little bit knowing that he'll buy every single PNP that gets released -- so if Sirius releases enough of them he'll go broke! just kidding DAB.

Hey good find, that does indeed work. Its not exactly a return key, but does nicely and it works via the remote too. I really appreciate you posting this.

Hey, you aren't far from the truth.... LOL Actually thus far I have sold each one of them like a good little satellite radio junkie. Got to keep it going.

Yes, I did some updates to my domain and I had to change the link. So its now http://pnp-features.brocato.net/

Sorry about that, I had sent the update to Jeff, but I forgot all about this thread. Thanks for the heads up. I updated the CLICK HERE in my original post.

The home antenna aiming guide is different too: http://sirius.brocato.net/

There certainly was a lot of effort put into this plug & play tuner comparison and it's certainly is greatly appreciated. But, why is the XM Roady included? Even though it has both a car and home kit, strickly speaking, it is not a PNP receiver. At the very least, this should be explained in a footnote.

A line that seems to be missing is "Diagnostics Mode". I'm fairly sure all XM receivers, except for dedicated tuners, have this available. I've yet to find anything on the Sirius. Possibly the magic key sequence has yet to be discovered.

Now, this may be really asking for way too much. Just listing the dimemsions of the receiver doesn't really give a good idea of the space is used by a operational system. To provide a clear picture, one needs to have the dimensions of the radio and cradle mounted together. I know the manufacture does not list this, so it would have to be measured by hand. I understand the work that would take. Just a suggestion.

I would agree that total dimensions should be added. Also, would it be possible to make a version where the tuners are on the sides, so it would be easy for people to read? It's just a matter of cutting & pasing into different tables.

Good suggestion guys, so when you get those demensions let me know and I'll be glad to add it to the matrix.

The Roady was added because I and many do use it as a PNP.

Remember this matrix was designed to give folks a comparsion of the features, which is exactly what it does. I added pricing of cradles for convenience sakes. I'd also be glad to add these demensions, but I no longer have all those units to make the measurements and I have put enough time into this project. Other than an occasional updates, I am done

The fact that XM just launched a home kit for the Roady verifies that it belongs on the matrix.

Jeff, I was not aware of this, but I think you are right. Now that they are making a home kit for it to be used at home, adds it as a second PNP for XM.
