Default Update reset presets

I received the channel lineup update and all of my presets were reset. I wanted to know if this happens to all of the Sirius radios? It happend to my Audiovox PNP2. If it didn't happen to your radio, which one do you have? Does this happen everytime that there is a channel update? That would suck having to reprogram 30 presets everytime that there is an update. :\

Is this something that Sirius/Audiovox can fix? (Please!)

Interestingly enough none of the stations that I had set to be skipped were reset. I haven't checked the rest of my user settings. Did anyone notice anything else being reset on thier radios?

This has been known to happen. I never had it happen when I was using the PNP2. My JVC and Xact did not loose their preset on this mornings update.

I've had my channels updated many times over the past year, but for some reason, this was the first time my presets were erased. Don't know why. It kept saying "Invalid Channel" also...first time for that too.

I've got a Pnp3, and my presets seemed fine this morning. Maybe it's an issue with certain tuner types?

My Streamer has never had this problem before, but the presets were cleared this morning. The only difference I can think of, was that it was on overnight, and hasn't been before.
My wife's 902 was switched to Preview//184 this morning when she got in the car.
No issues with the Sportster, but I'll admit I did not look at the clock at all.

I also left my radio on overnight ... Got my Audiovox PNP2 in the boombox and it was sitting on Fox News and all the presets are erased ... Good thing it was on mute ... I could have been brainwashed in my sleep :-P

My radio was on overnight too when the update was applied. It was still on the same channel when I woke up. Just no presets.

Stranger yet. My PNP2 lost only two pre-sets. Prime Country and Roadhouse. All my other pre-sets were still there. This is the first time I have had any trouble with an update.

My Audiovox lost all of its presets, but my Clarion lost none. NOT GOOD, SIRIUS!!!

Default ME too!

I turned my Audiovox PNP Series 2 on this morning and got what I thought was the update. I took about 90 seconds. All seemed fine. Then about 5 minutes later, it started updating again, starting and stopping itself, until eventually getting all the way to 100%. Then the stream I was on (Big 80s) said it was an invalid channel... None of my buttons would work, it was like it had frozen (like the blue screen of death on a PC). So I turned it off, and when I turned it back, it updated again for the 3rd time. This time it just did it once, and when it came back it had switched to the Preview channel. I thought all was fine, but it had cleared all 30 of my presets... Did anyone else have all these issues? I thought these things were supposted to be simple! Ugh!

My Sportster came through the update with the presets unscathed.

So, is this mainly affecting the older units? I haven't seen any reports of problems on 2.5g tuners. That might be useful for tech support to know.

Are there some tech support type folks watching these forums? I called Sirius support. Basically they are saying that it happens so some of the radios but not others. Not a good answer as far as I'm concerned. I'm not real happy about this. I understand that something like this might happen if there was a software update to the unit, but this was just a channel line-up change. #$@^*^$

As I posted earlier this has been going on since the PNP units were released. Some have had this issue and some have not. They do updates what about 3 or 4 times a year, if that many. So, is this really that big of a deal? I agree it shouldn't happen, but its truly not that hard to go back and puts your presets back in. Also talking to CC about this kind of problem won't get you very far, because most them probably don't have a clue what is going on or why this would even happen.

I had a PNP2 that NEVER lost its presets during updates. But I had seveveral buddies that always lost theirs. They'd bitch a day or two until they got them all set back up again. so I can understand your frustration.
