Default Sportster Boombox 'Antenna Not Detected' fixed?

I have had the older JVC PNP since May 2004. I have always wanted a boombox but I was let down by JVC when they stated that they have dropped plans to make a Boombox for that unit. So this Sunday is Fathers Day and I think I will be receiveing a Sporster with the Boombox (My wife knew that I wanted the Boombox from the begining). I chose the Sporster over the new JVC unit because I am a sports fan and I think I would like the game alerts. I just want to know if the Antenna problem is still going on with that unit. If so I will tell her to pick up one of the other units.
