Default I seem to recall...

..hearing a rumour that there might be a Delphi Sirius piece but I think it got scotched in the planning stages. It may have just been a rumour anyway. Delphi really doesn't care about the paltry money in Sirius hardware. As it is, if I am not mistaken, they make the chip for the Sirius tuner anyway, so they already have a piece of every unit.

Not a bad deal if you can get it.

Delphi makes some radios for the OEM market for Sirius already. As for the chips, they are made by Agere for current versions, and ST Micro for Gen3 versions.

I wasn't sure about G3 chipsets. I thought perhaps they were being made by someone else but isn't Agere simply Delphi by being owned by Lucent which is more or less, Delphi? You know, interlocking corporate stock and boards.

I could be wrong.

Or maybe that only applied to the G1 chipsets. I forget.

Delphi and Lucent are separate companies.
