Mel has said that the 3G portable will be available before the end of the year. We'll find out more Thurs.

dude, you can just use the home dock kit from the starmate, I think both have the same kind of mount on the back.

My 2 cents...

This sucker looks sweet to me. And it's just a taste of the good things to come.

PS: So much for the Roady XT...

What a nice surprise. I really like the looks, form and function. This should be a big seller. Can't wait until Thursday to see what else Sirius has up it's sleeve.

I predict a busy chat Thursday night.
BTW, I don't see anything on that brochure about Artist Seek. What gives?

it says right on it........Sirius Seek......stores the names of 30 of your favorite songs and alerts you when they are playing on any channel. Sounds just as good

Many tuners have that feature (including my PNP3). What I am talking about is the ability to seek any song by a particular artist. This feature is coming soon with the 3.0g chipsets and might be included with this new radio but I don't see it on the brochure.

I like the in-dash adapter!!!! My next car has just the opening for this. In fact, I am wondering whether I should throw in my streamer when I sell my bimmer. Hmmmmmm.

Kind of disapointed that they still aren't offering an aritist seek.

That is good, Sirius doesn't need us all upgrading. But this will be a significant improvement over the Sporster Replay in my opinion, just on the fact that it will be smaller, run cooler and probably have a bit better display, though smaller of course. Plus it will have all the same features, including the IR capability. I really like this model, but I am wanting to hold out for a portable. Also it says Sirius Seek, no more song seek, so this thing may do artist searches too, we just don't know yet. Maybe we'll know Thursday.
