I've been talking to John Durbin from Directed Electronics and he informed me that the new Executive will be compatible with the new Starmate Replay!! The unit comes out in Oct. but the universal adapter comes out in January. Wow

Looks to me like this Starmate is just like the previous one in that you don't need a cradle, the three wires plug in on the left side. The three wires being power, antenna, audio-output. You will get a mounting kit with antenna and power adapter for the auto. Home kit will be available and its basically a stand for the Starmate Reply, with a home antenna and power adapter.

thx DAB for the info I needed! Because I will probably buy this and need to know, if it comes with a car cradle. So I am able to take it out of my car to the house.

Under new products CMA is now listing the Executive Docking Station and the Starmate replay. It says to pre-order email them.

Anyone have an idea if the Xact version of this player does away with plugging in the three cables. In the picture it looks like only one cable goes into the unit or perhaps some cable management. I hate the idea of having to plug in three cables each time I take it into my car.

I work at radioshack and just returned my Starmate for the Starmate Replay (after 6 months of use, hah! I kept the box and everything in perfect condition so i swapped it for store credit and the full $99 i payed for it originally since I had the reciept). No stores have them in stock, but the warehouse has them in stock and shipping is free.

Sweet, so you haven't gotten it yet? I think you'll certainly be happier with the Starmate Replay. The improvement is 100% in my opinion over the older Starmate. Keep us posted, I'd be curious to know what you think of it, after having had the original Starmate for 6 months.

RadioShack did this for you as an employee, but I assume the everyday customer would not be allowed to do this right?

I donno if I missed something in the manual of my Starmate Replay but how do I jump back to a previous channel. Seems like everytime I get a favorite Artist alert I click over to hear the song but then I have to manualy find the channel I was on before. doesn't this thing have a last station button or way to get back or toggle between two stations?

Also sometimes when I click on the Jump button to go to my set weather, it will not get me back to the station I jumped from, it just goes back to weather again.
