That is correct, you hold down the select button either on the front of the tuner or on the remote and it will take you to the previous channel.

THANKS. Well that just put one check off my wishlist for this nice player. Now if I can get it to display the artist name and the song playing at the same time (without me pressing display again) while channel browsing or when Artist alert pops up that would be sweet. The alerts are cool but it doesn't tell me which song the chosen artist is playing now. So I know to switch over or not rather then hear the song I least care to hear by them. Too many wants all at once right??

Just remember when you get the Sirius Seek Alert. You can hit the DISP button and it will show you either the name of the song or the name of the artist. This thing is cool.

I don't think there is a way to make it show the artist and song title when you are doing the look a head without hitting the DISP button.

Wow you really did your homework to know all this. I thought I read the manual front to back but obviously not good enough to miss these little feature tricks. Your the man!

I had my Starmate Replay for like 3 weeks now and I still play with it quite a bit at home, work and car. I really enjoy this new unit alot more then my old Xact! I programmed so many artist into it, it gave me so many alerts I had to delete some!

RadioShack did this for you as an employee, but I assume the everyday customer would not be allowed to do this right?
It'll be another 5-7 business days before I recieve it, cause it was ordered. I could have payed like $25 for 2nd day, or $50 for next day... but at those prices, I can wait.

I loved the starmate, I wanted it to be smaller and blue instead of red (my radar detector and head unit are all blue) so now everything will match! Finally!

I didn't do the return at my own store, but heres the deal. If you have all
the packaging and its in "new and resellable condition" you can get store credit without any reciept. So I at first handed the guy the thing, he started the return and only wanted to gimme the $49 it sells for now (policy is lowest price in 6 months), so then I dug around my pockets and popped out my reciept showing my original payment of $99.

Anyway, at that point he could have done nothing for me, or give me store credit. It's really at the discretion of the employee at that point, since you have the reciept and you have the product. Being an employee helps, though.

Regarding the reception on the Starmate R. I remember reading somewhere that if you have three bars out of 10 (on the signal meter in the signal menu) it should pick up the stations and be working. Well I brought my radio inside the house for the first time tonight and I'm getting three bars in the middle of the house and the radio still says aquiring signal. There was a room where I got thesame three bars and it worked fine. What gives? I did notice thatby moving the antenna an inch from one spot I loose thethree bars. It seems very sensitive.

It seems on most tuners when they start saying aquiring signal, that the meter showing the bars tend to get locked at whatever the signal may have been, so I don't think its accurate. If you are getting that message it clearly doesn't have 3 bars of signal.

Remember most of the time due to the moving sats you almost always have to put that antenna outside to get and maintain a solid signal all the time. In a window seal you may get a signal, but at some point it will usuallydrop-out. So it is best to have it outside using a home antenna, this is common for Sirius.

ok, well after 5 min of acquiring signal it finally started playing. Go figure. I guess this moving satellite thing is still a tricky thing for these radios. Well as I type this I just lost the signal again after 10 min of having music. Nothing has changed in my setup I guess those birds in the sky are moving without care for my week indoor signal. Good thing my outdoor home antenna is on its way to me this week.
