v1ru5 does the same thing, and yes it is annoying to read at times.

...and don't get me started on the overuse of commas.

No offense or anything...it just makes me wonder how they got through grade school with grammar like that.

Does anybody know about the sound quality on the s50, is it 96kbps, or 128????????

I think that will be the deciding factor on the s50.

Wow! Twenty exclamations! Last time I used more than four I ended up in bed for a week with an ice pack.

My guess is somewhere around 64Kbps as a 1GB iPod shuffle can carry around about 22 hours of songs @ 128Kbps in ACC format. (although the S50 will use MP3 format).

If this was already answered, sorry for the repost -- too many pages to review.

The press release states that: The “My SIRIUS Channels” feature automatically gathers and refreshes sets of programming from the user’s three most-listened-to channels.

Doe this mean it can RECORD three channels at the same time? Many have jumped to that conclusion, but I'm not sure that is correct. It may be that you can have it record up to three separate recording sessions, one channel each, but not at the same time.

Thanks.

I haven't seen "Many" here who "have jumped to that conclusion". Could you point me to a thread where this has been discussed by "Many"?

Not sure I understand your question. Recorded Sirius programming will be play at the same bitrate that it's broadcast at. Playback should be indistinquishable from the live source, no better no worse. Uploaded MP3 files will play at their encoded rate. All the standard bitrates should be supported.

Well, if that's confirmed, than the s50 really looks like a contender only if
it does follow through on the release date. :\

OK, many was too strong -- I read all the sat radio boards -- some believe that it is the recording of 3 streams simultaneously (which would be too cool) -- my guess is that you can set three recording times.

No, threes separate sessions (such as 2 hours of one channel, then 3 of another, then 2 of another). Perhaps it can randomly bounce among your 3 favorite channels. I just question whether it can record 3 streams at the same time, as some have concluded from the press release.

thinking about this subject more and more I cant imagine how any device could record multiple content at the same time without two seperate tuners (like a dish network or directv dual tuner DVR). I feel like others that it records the content from your three favorite stations (one at a time of course). that to me seems the only possible way to do it without seperate tuners...

I agree. I think it was a misinterpretation that got spread around.
