Wow... no live content on portable?

Screw that, ill save my 380 smakers. This thing honestly seems kind of stupid. I can currently already record sirius and burn it onto a cd, or put in on my ipod. I just don't see the point of this.

Okay, I thought of one more thing:

How bout being able to have this thing plugged in when certain artists come in to do live shows on Sirius and we're at work while they're on. I could use my Sirius to record that and then take it with me later to listen to. Yes, I know Sirius will replay the show a few times, but not everyone can sit and set up their computer to capture Sirius

It's supposed to be available about the middle of October.

Default Not Portable

Looks neat, but it is not portable. What a disappointment. I have a Myfi and it is great and I can carry it in my shirt or coat pocket and get XM. I would love to get a hold of a portable Sirius unit for the NFL games this fall. Too bad Sirius is so far behind XM in hardware technology.

Does anyone in the "know", know or heard if the S50 easy to scratch the screen? I bring this up cause seems people are already complaining to Apple about the new Nano and how super easy it is to scratch. Here is a link on the nano story.

So is there an option to record scheduled shows? Like, if I wanted to record the BBC1 show, The Chill Room, which comes on at 5am, can I select channel 11 at 5am? If that feature exists, does it work just 1 time or will it record the channel daily?

Yes, you can record by show or time slot, in addition to the automated content recording of your 3-favorite channels and your 'loved' songs.

REMEMBER that is an estimated date, that is NOT a firm date. Lets all hope it turns out to be true. I just don't want anyone assuming it will be. Also CMA has been taking a lot of pre-orders so those will get the first batch when they do become available.

I e-mailed Color Match Antenna yesterday asking to pre-order the S50, but so far I haven't received any sort of reply or confirmation from them. I hope they got my information. I will e-mail again if I don't hear anything in the next day or so because I definately want one of these as soon as possible.
Also, does anyone know if the home dock/kit will be released at the same time as the unit itself? I sure hope so. I definately want it too because I plan on using mine as a portable to listen to at work and I don't want to have to record my content in the car. So I hope the home kit is released at the same time.

Another question: what if I just want to plug it into the speakers at my apt and not get the home docking station? Can I lug the S50 and the antenna from the car to the aptto listen to live content, and use a DC to AC converter for power (like maybe a $5-$10 one from Radio Shack)?

You can only get live reception in the car or home dock at this time. Portably you could listen to the 50 hours of recorded content that way. The battery will last for 6 hours.

So, lets say I record while I sleep, take it in to work and want to listen. Is there an AC adapter that I can plug into the wall so I don't have to use the batteries the whole time?
