I guess even a couple of weeks IS considered a delay, but unlike the ReGo we know this one is really coming.

What? A portable sirius unit is delayed? No way.

Long as they delay to make it play video - not a prob.

Is this old news? -- PortalPlayer and Korea-based HUMAX, a leading digital satellite set-top box manufacturer, have combined their expertise to create devices that enable end-users to enjoy digitally broadcast satellite radio content when and where they choose. The team's first project was to assist in the development of the SIRIUS Satellite Radio S50.

A delay of a few weeks is normal. However, if they miss Christmas, there are going to be a lot of pissed off people--and rightfully so.

In Sirius's defense, Motorola (the world's second largest cellphone manufacturer) had to delay the launch of their highly anticipated new service--Motorola iRadio.

They had hoped to launch before Christmas, but will instead debut it at CES '06 in Vegas (January).

If a decades-old consumer electronics giant like Motorola (2004 sales of over 31 BILLION $) has to delay something now and then, I guess I can't get too upset about a fledgling SatRadio company that has to do the same thing.

And I don't blame Sirius for the ReGo fiasco, because that was purely Xact's fault.

it will be interesting to hear both companies comment on the RIIA (did I get it right siso?). One has to think in relation to sirius that they arent very happy with a unit that saves individual songs......

I have a feeling that the riia will try (and will) to blackball more money from xm and sirius.

Possible, but I really don't think so. Maybe I'll eat my words on this, but if a major retailer such as Best Buy is making wallspace for the S50 already, they must have been told by their distributors that it will be arriving in the very near future.

My thought's exactly! This crap it getting old. Sirius needs to put direct orders out to the companies that are making these radios to either meet the dates they set or face penalties or termination of contracts with them. Period! Delay after delay after delay with every Sirius model is growing old and is certainly not going to convince perspective buyers and investors that Sirius is a worthwhile company.
They need this radio out yesterday, since the Xmas season is already beginning and delays on such a crucial product at this time of the year are very damaging.
Anyway, I won't go on with my rant, but needless to say, I'm not happy! (Mid Oct. turns to the end of Oct. to now mid Nov.) ReGo ReVisited!! SSDR (Same , different radio)!
