The FM Transmitter is as good as any of the PNP's I have tried and it's hard to imagine it being much better than what the Visor provides.

As for routing the wires, how hard it is depends on how clean of an install you wan't. It can be as easy as a 10-15 minute install to 1-2 hours depending on your choice.

What chipset is in the Visor? 2.0 or 2.5?

Thanks.

The FM transmitter is far better than any of the FM transmitters on the three different Delph XM units I tried. Very strong signal and audio.

The ease of routing the cables is vehicle dependent. I routed the antenna cable in the Ford Escape under the rubber going up the column on the side of the window. Still have not done anything with the power as that is routed over the rear view mirror to the Xact unit on the Visor. Not too bad, and it works great. Antenna sits on the corner of the dash (inside mounted).

It might be a 3.0, but it's possible it's a 2.5.

I was just in my local Super Target store yesterday and they have quite a few of the Visors in stock now, and are selling them for $49. Also, as a sidenote, they have a comparison chart with all the Sirius and XM models they carry, and they have the ReGo listed and pictured on it. Not sure if this is an old chart, but if not, then maybe they are still expecting it to come out and are planning on carrying it. Target seems to have carried more Xact models than anyone, so who knows, the ReGo might find a home at Target in the future.

The Transmitter works good. I tried mine on the visor but it did not fit tight, may on your car, and it would of made it difficult to use visor..

I mounted mine with the sticky pad on bottom of dash left of the steering wheel. Perfect place in my car cause it is hidden and running the wires was made easy as they all ran behind the dash. Experiment around, you may find a better place than the visor.

Got it yesterday. Good price. Works very nice in the car. Question about taking it to the office. Anybody install it with the home kit yet? Any issues?

Still waiting and wishing for a true Sirius walkman with live content. S50 is not what I am looking for.

Well, I threw the visor in the car, activated it and it and here is my first impression:

The fm transmitter is MUCH better than the PNP1 and PNP2 models...it actually works like it is suppose to. I had all sorts of problems with the PNP1 and PNP2.

THe display is hard to read but, I figured that would be the be the case.

For now, I have the antenna out the window, and the wires all over the place. I still not have decided where I am going to mount this unit...the bracket to mount on the visor doesn't seem very flexible in terms of what you can do with it...we'll see what can come up with.

Is there anyway to flip the display on the visor unit because on the Xact website, they show a unit clipped to visor but, it is upside down and the display is still readable.

Default Visor installed tonight

Had no good place to locate the wife's old Audiovox, so it took up a cup holder and jostled around, wires snaking around. Had to use a cassette adapter since the FM modulator had only 4 channels all in the 80's, and signal strength was too low to overcome adjcant signals around us. Just put her new Visor in tonight, and I'm anxious to see what she thinks. Display is a liitle choppy when it scrolls, but the size and the tuning knob sold me on the unit. Now I have a much cleaner dash mount, the cup holder is back in service, and the cassette adapter can be retired. Real easy run of the antenna along the edge of the headliner, just need to get a cleaner job on the power cord once she decides for sure where the unit will finally sit. I'm happy so far, seems like a reasonably solid unit and will certainly do what she needs it to.

Very nice, but I think that $15 is too expensive.

I just got one at Walmart yesterday along with the home kit. Haven't tried it in my Mustang yet, but it works great on my desk. I've got it playing though my Sony Psyc radio via the FM transmitter. But I'm going to have to try running those audio cables to my Athlon 64.
