Can the $30 rebate still apply...making it $19.99.

I realize RS discounted it, but it would seem a rebate could still be applied as the rebate runs through 1 Oct?

Still showing up as $79 online. Is this in-store pricing only?

The local sales flyer (beginning today) shows the discounted price. Not sure when/if the web would change.....

from what I can see, that footnote applies to the home pack. the flyer shows "new low price" for the mobile pack.

i'll find out for sure tomorrow.....going to get one for the wife's car.

I stopped at my Radio Shack this morning and spoke to the manager. He said that the Radio Shacks in my area are not changing the price of the starmate. He said it will be 79.99 until they run out. This was in State College, PA.

It is too bad, I would have bought one.

perhaps they're franchised stores..... I would show him the current flyer then ask him if he indeed is......

I went by the Radioshack near me (Pinecrest in Miami), the StarMate was marked $79.99 with $30 off from the rebate, so I asked about it. The guy asks if it is in the flyer, then opens the flier to see the new low price $49.99 with no mention of a rebate. He tells me that's after rebate.

I pointed out that the Sportster Replay says it's $165 (or whatever) minus $25 for rebate but the StarMate doesn't. He says sorry, it's $49.99 after rebate. So I left.

WTF RadioShack?

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with customer care dealing with this. She was going the same route as the store until she found the page in the flyer (Page 12BS).

She said the $79.00 price which is listed online and in stores is incorrect.

She's said she'd call the store I went to and will make them give it to me at the $49.99 price.

She put me on hold, then came back and said all of the other prices on the page didn't start until October 2nd. I pointed out again that the StarMate ad didn't say that.

She's calling me back.

(I really wouldn't be hassling them so much, but I got a new car a little while ago and haven't had SIRIUS since... I'm going nuts. I was going to wait for the new stuff, but $50 for a StarMate is better, I won't use the pause or rewind, and don't really need the Artist Seek.)

We'll see what happens.

She called back and said the flyer isn't supposed to be out until the 27th.

I picked one up while I was at RadioShack yesterday.

Hrmmm....

(btw on hold again)
