Sooooo tempting! I love my Starmate and at that price I could put one in my other two vehicles and give some as Christams presents. I may just have to stop be tomorrow evening.

soxnationonline, do you know how long this sale is going on?

I don't know, but my guess would be that it's just going to keep going until they get rid of them. Need to make room for the starmate replay!

They are clearing them out in anticipation of the Starmate Replay. The Radio Shack locally has done a very good job selling Sirius. All the sales guys and gals, along with the manager all have Sirius.

The original Starmate had a red display, the Streamer GT has the same color display as the Audiovox PNP3. It appears this new one (Starmate Replay has the same type and color display as the Starbase, black text on a light blue background. This display will do GREAT in direct sunlight and still be easy on the eyes for night driving.

I doubt you'll see radioshack sell the starmate replay this holiday season (atleast not until close to christmas).. from what I hear alot of the stores are still getting shipments of the original sportsters in stock.

According to the local store manager here in my area they expect to get the Starmate Replay towards the end of next month after all their warehouse supply is sold out of the current model. This pricing appears to be their hope of clearing them out.

perhaps there its true...... here in chicago the stores arent selling sirius that well... ( I attribute that to chicago actually having pretty decent terrestrial radio stations, that and chicago is a baseball town).... so they may very well release them to certain markets as requirements dictate. I'll see if I can find out any info on the warehouse status of them and let you all know as soon as I find out.

I've been told and of course have no way to confirm this, but that the South moves a high percentage of Sat Radios. I know the Radio Shacks, along with the BB and CC do sell a lot of them and that includes both Sirius and XM.

just to correct myself when I say "the stores" I am strictly talking about radioshack....

good to hear our brothers in the south are supporting sat. rad.

Default For CMA the South definetely represents

Lots of sales per capita in the South. In regions it seems Sirius is most popular in the South, then the East, then the Midwest and least popular the West Coast, I shall look at CMAs state sales and divide by the population and post in another thread the ratio of CMA purchasers by state.

Off hand I can say Alabama and Pennyslvania represent heavily.

But to be back on topic, the RadioShack is a good deal.
