I was at the Circuit City/Best Buy complex in Nashua the other day. Best Buy was sold out (@ 129.99), but Circuit City had them for $99.99 with a $25 mailin for a gift card if activated within fourteen days. Also, because they had the wrong information posted underneath the unit on display, I was able to get an additional $20 off on the spot.

Can anyone recommend a good electronics install shop in the eastern Mass area? Between Marlboro and Woburn would be ok. I don't have the time to take apart the dash and as clean of an install as I like.

I do like the unit. Can people comment on if the FM modulator unit makes a big difference? There is not many fm channels around here that don't suffer from adjacent channel interference. Even 87.9 or 87.7 does not work because of Channel 6 audio from Providence.

The FM switchbox will make a big difference, and is a very inexpensive way to solve interference problems.

I like the home kit a lot, the only problem... why on earth didn't they put an angle connector on the home antenna? DUH!

The metal mount does a good job holding the tuner, unlike the previously released plastic ones.
I agree to bad there not an angle connector on the home antenna. It would be eaiser to try and get a signal!

The optional custom vehicle installation kit provides additional items for a more permanent installation in your vehicle. The kit consist of the follow items:

DIN-Compatible Install Plate - for installing the Receiver in the dashboard of your car or boat.

Power Harness - for connecting the power for th Receiver to the vehicles electrical system.

FM-Swtiching Box - for connect the FM-Output of the Receiver into the FM antenna input of your vehicle's radio. The box will automatically switch off the vehicle's FM antenna when you turn on your Sirius Receiver.

Audio Cables - For connecting the Audio-output of the Receiver into your vehicle's audio system.

There is a picture of it on the package, but its very small. I don't have my scanner hooked up or else I would scan it. But it appears this kit hides all the wires for a very clean install.
Are these available yet?

Just to follow-up, Taylor at CMA ask his contact, which had no idea about a possible release date for this item. I suspect it won't be real soon.

Default This unit is DA BOMB!!!

I just picked one up at Best But on Long Island (happend to just ask and they had it).

$129.99 with a $30 rebate.

Removed my PNP 2 and this just took its place.

Unit runs VERY COOL and is VERY LIGHT.

Display is AWESOME and easy to read.

I LOVE all of the new features and I cant believe how small it is.

If you get the opertunity, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

I sure hope so. I just bought mine from JJI Electronics for $99.99 (w/car kit). $69.99 after-rebate would be awesome.

I joined the Sirius community in late September, and my first purchase was the XACT XTR7CK, which I still really enjoy (the yellow/black display is very nice and easy to read, but there's lots of scrolling due to the small screen size). I was tiring of moving the XACT between car and work all the time, so I pulled the trigger on the Starmate Replay this week to replace the XACT in the car (the silver/blue theme matches my car CD tuner, coincidentally). Sorry XACT, you've been booted out! Ah well, now it can permanently sit on my desk at work - no more plugging and unplugging everyday.

So, I received my Starmate Replay today, and am just overjoyed with everything it has to offer. This radio is the complete package - it has the looks and the functionality. In comparing the blue light scheme to the Kenwood and Clarion radios, I'd have to say that the Starmate Replay by-far has the best looking blue display. I like the text, and the display feature was a surprise (by pressing it once, the text turns HUGE). Also, this thing can get blindingly bright! I left my display settings at the defaults (half-way mark). They should warn you that it can get brighter than the blue water in Tron!

I think someone mentioned in this thread that there is better separation in the audio, and possibly better quality. I'm not sure if it's because I read that post, but I do hear better separation. This radio also runs a lot cooler than the XACT unit. Also, the preset buttons are smaller than on my XACT, but are just as easy to push. In-fact, I was impressed with how all the buttons push in with ease (it's nice to have 10 preset buttons, and be able to dial in stations from the radio - this isn't possible on the XTR7, as it only has 6 preset buttons).

I highly recommend the Starmate Replay to anyone looking to upgrade from their current radio. It's a beautifully-designed unit, probably the best looking one yet. Oh, and the 'widescreen' display rocks - there's a lot less text scrolling.

At this point I don't even care if the rebate is applicable. It was money well spent.

I'd thought I would share a pic of Sirius_Son's birthday present. He bought himself a '06 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and I thought the least I could do is buy him a Starmate Replay for his new truck.

I think this is a good spot for the new Starmate due to its smaller size. I had the brightness and contrast down lower than normal trying to get a better pic. The Starmate's display is very bright and very clear at normal levels.

In his '06 Tacoma, it is a easy and comfortable reach for manual controlling for either the passenger or driver while affording a great view of the display for both. And of course, the reomte is very handy as well.

No. 3M makes a double sided tape that requires a jack hammer to get anything off the windshield. The tape is about 1/8" thick and gray in color. You can get it at Wally World. I use the tape for my Sirius SIGMA and toll tag in my company car. Just a little bit goes a long way. This tape is magic.
