Good deal, can you tell us what was up with this just for future knowledge in case this should come up again?

Thanks for the help guys. He finally got a call from a competent tech support person at Sirius who said he could just enter the code, and he was up and running within seconds. No idea why the other 4 phone calls he had with sirius basically got "I don't knows" or "we'll call you back in 24-48 hours." I guess with any company, chances are rare you actually get a tech who knows what they are doing.
He listened for an hour and a half since activating on his ride home today and of course loves it. Can't wait till thursday when the carpet is pulled out from under him and the channels are reprogrammed.

And I should add CMA has been spectacular through every part of this. Personal comments on the order, calls to rectify the situation, and a call back just to make sure things are OK. Way above and beyond what any other company does these days. I'm glad I made him give you the business.

Three cheers to CMA and you guys in the forum. It's great to have forum members such as yourselves who care enough to help a newbie like me.

As Josh said, all it took was one competent tech at Sirius who, in two seconds flat, registered the ESN. It had to be a fluke. In any case, the same tech took my billing info and I was set.

I have to give a huge 'thank you' to CMA for getting this unit to me in blazing time, and for being the only site around that had it when I wanted it. Their customized support and follow-ups are second-to-none. Rest assured that I'll flip your site to all of my friends.

I'm looking forward to spending more time around these forums.

Brian

Does the Game Alert allow for college teams?

The description at CMA just says NFL, NBA and NHL.

What do you mean by this? It costs more to subscribe with the starmate replay?

Dana likes the Starmate Replay, but doesn't want to have to pay the $6.99 per month for a second subcription apparently. Subscription one is $12.95 per month and each subscription between 2 -4 is only $6.99 per month. He already has a tuner, so if he got this one it would be a second tuner.

Ok sorry I should have figured that one out.

On another note I live in Canada and I'm trying to order the Starmate Replay off of CMA website and I am having problems. There is a whole list of shipping options and prices and when I select the cheapest US Post option it defaults back to the Global Express which costs $43.00 dollars. That is a little bit too extreme for me to pay for shipping. I've sent an email to them for some advice. Can anyone here help me out? Anyone else in Canada ordered from CMA?

Thanks

Our site is Not the most Canadian friendly, sorry. If you want to order from Canada one of the best things is to call us. We really only ship out to Canada via EMS or Global Express from USPS.

Don't want to turn this into a CMA thing. If you have trouble or questions, just give us a call. Your email is answered. Back to the Starmate Replay.

Hmm. Well when the shipments of Sirius Radios are received or shipped out they are scanned. Those ESN #s or SID #s also show where the radio was sold. Well those were scanned at Directed Electronics (the manufacturer/distributor) and they send those daily to Sirius. I think some fluke thing happened at Sirius in which those either weren't showing up or perhaps the computer system that holds that info was down.

Anyway, just a little mistake that delayed the wonderful listening experience. We feel so naked without our Sirius that it is crazy when it's not up.
Darn Computers.

Any chance of getting a picture of the remote and the suction mount to see how big/bulky it is?

I do like this a lot and seems to be the new receiver to replace my sportster
(love the blue display)
