Is there a user guide for the SM Replay online somewhere?
The Starmate Replay is in their warehouses, this was confirmed by a Radio Shack employee. So, I think I would go by there and ask them how you need to proceed, my understanding is that they can order you one directly from the warehouse.

Sirius's link to the Starmate Replay User Manual isn't working. I sent them email about it, but they haven't fixed it as of yet. I tried to find one early online elsewhere but had no luck.

I'll be going down to talk to them soon. Thanks for your help.

Default Custom Vehicle Install Kit

Custom Vehicle Installation Kit (STV2)

The optional custom vehicle installation kit provides additional items for a more permanent installation in your vehicle. The kit consist of the follow items:

DIN-Compatible Install Plate - for installing the Receiver in the dashboard of your car or boat.

Power Harness - for connecting the power for th Receiver to the vehicles electrical system.

FM-Swtiching Box - for connect the FM-Output of the Receiver into the FM antenna input of your vehicle's radio. The box will automatically switch off the vehicle's FM antenna when you turn on your Sirius Receiver.

Audio Cables - For connecting the Audio-output of the Receiver into your vehicle's audio system.

There is a picture of it on the package, but its very small. I don't have my scanner hooked up or else I would scan it. But it appears this kit hides all the wires for a very clean install.

I was at the Best Buy in Framingham, Mass today. I saw 2 Starmate Replays there. The display was a disgrace. It was tucked to the side of 2 huge XM displays.

I don't think so, but I have asked Taylor over at CMA to find out when and if he calls his rep again. So, maybe we'll know about when they are coming soon.

Is the $30 rebate not applicable to the Starmate Replay? It doesn't appear on Sirius' website, but maybe someone here who has purchased it can tell me?

I'm also curious if the rebate is applicable when adding receivers? I'm buying the minimum subscription required, but of course it's not full price.

Thanks,
Jim

Yes it is. I did this the last time rebates were offered.

Thanks! I'm about to add two more receivers at the end of this week.

Cheers,
Jim

I bought the SM Replay today at Best Buy, and the rebate IS NOT applicable, according to the sales kid. BB does have a mail in thing to get a $25 gift card for NFL.com.

Default Seek/Scan Function

I just ordered a Starmate Replay and have been reading about all the great features. I'm totally psyched!!

I was wondering if the unit has a scan function that will play a few seconds of each channel before advancing to the next one (just like on a typical car receiver)?

Thanks for the great forum!

Welcome to SBS, no there is no scan function, but that is a good idea.

Congrats on your purchase, let us know how you like it.

I went down to BB today and bought a Starmate Replay home kit, and it does keep the wires together better!

I like the home kit a lot, the only problem... why on earth didn't they put an angle connector on the home antenna? DUH!

The metal mount does a good job holding the tuner, unlike the previously released plastic ones.
