Default [BUYING GUIDE] SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Receivers) [Updated 9/3]

Which SIRIUS Satellite Radio receiver is right for me?
----------

This thread is a guide to help people pick out which SIRIUS Satellite Radio receiver is right them.

Most of these receivers/optional equipment are available from TSS-Radio and Sirius.com , I personally like 'TSS-Radio' more because they're professional yet personable.

Some of the items (like the original Starmate & original Sportster) aren't available on these sites but can be bought from RadioShack or other online/retail stores.

Default Which Receiver Is Best (Used Both In The Car AND Home)

I had ordered (not yet received) the S50 - but seeing the problems associated with it and it not being as portable as hoped I am now thinking of sending it back to Crutchfield and ordering another unit. If money were NOT a consideration and one wanted the best unit out there (SQ and full features) that could be used in the car (then easily taken out) and attached to a home docking unit (switching back and forth continuously) - which unit would you recommend (including the S50 - Starmate and Sportster - or another unit that you believe is the best)?

Thanks

Default sportster replay

I bought it on Sunday and activated it on Monday. Other than the reception in certain places in my home I find its even better than XM's skyfi2 except for reception. The Sound quality is amazing and I love how many features are put in it. Until the starmate replay comes out with its boombox in febuary I would have to say buy the sportster replay and the boombox. I recommend it.

Those things I've read about it are generally good. If you like it I would go for it.
