Default New Receiver Recommendations

I currently have an Audiovox SIRPNP2. I was considering the PNP3 but would like some opinions. I’m looking not just to replace the PNP2, but also add a Sirius receiver to my truck. I’m primary looking at plug and play units, but do to my own pathetic laziness I would rather pay the extra $7 a month.

For my truck I would like something small and compact, something that’s comparable and looks well with a Roady XT. How would the Starmate Replay ST2 be? How do these mount, I’d like to do either do the air vent or sticky pad mount, I’m not too keen on the suction cup thing.

For home, other then the Audiovox PNP3, I have no idea. The PNP3 has been out for over a year now, how the wireless FM modulator compared to the other units? Sportster Replay also looks nice.

I don’t want a fish finder style receiver, don’t want that new one that looks like a radar detector or the one that looks like a remote control.

I just upgraded my XM stuff, going from a SkyFi and Roady 2 to a SkyFi 2 and Roady XT and would like to get the newest most comparable Sirius equipment I can get.

When ever I go home, but thing I dislike the most is having to unplug all the wires from my Starmate and Roady2 and then plugging them all back in when I'm ready to go back out on the road. So I know how you feel.

If you want something that you just take out of it's cradle from the truck to the house, you might want to go with the Steamer Replay.

You can get one from The Sirius Store (click on the pic) or at the Flying J e-Store. Some Flying J T/S care it also, but I have only seen them in a few of them. It used the suction cup window mount. That's what my Starmate has, and it work just fine for me.

Otherwise, if you want to spend the money, buy the S50.

It's pricey, but I don't think that it has a suction cup mount. And it looks like it just comes right out of the cradle and it's small enough to put in your pocket and take it inside.

Good luck with what ever you do.
