Default JVC KD-LH910 w/ JVC1 Sirius

Hello,

I'm new here and have a current problem with my JVC HeadUnit. When ever I click the Source button on my unit or remote control, I no longer get the option of Sirius. It goes through SD, CD, FM, but no Sirius. I checked my bus cable and it's plugged in tightly. I removed it and re-plugged it in from the JVC1 & the Unit itself. Any ideas or fixes to this would be appreciated.

When this happened to me (only twice) I unplugged the J-bus cable from the Sirius tuner. I turned the car on. After a minute or so, I turned the car off. I plugged the cable back in, turned the car back on, and the Sirius was there.

Did you get any codes on the HU? Like "Reset 08"?

No didn't get any error codes, which is what puzzles me. It's just like it's not there. I'm taking it to Best Buy tomorrow and see what they can do. I'm trying to fix it myself, but it is under warranty from Best Buy. I've tried doing what you did and it still not getting anything.

You may want to do a reset of your head unit. There was one guy that I remember having this problema and once he did the reset his SIRIUS tuner was again recognized. I've never experience this issue myself. It could be a bad tuner.

That was me. I reset the headunit to get the "00000000" to go away. Several months later I had the problem of SIRIUS not being recognized by the headunit. I reset the headunit initially but that did not help. I had to unplug the J-bus cable as MM did, and reconnect it to get SIRIUS back.

I did what seemed to be 100's of resets of the head unit from hitting the reset on the stereo with a pen. Or removing the fuses from my fuse box. None of this seemed to work. I finally went to Best Buy and had the guys look at it. They did the same thing after I told them what I had done. Still nothing. They decided to replace the J-Bus cable and that seemed to fix the problem. Sirius came right back on, as soon as this was replaced. So I guess the other one went bad. I'm now a happy Sirius subscriber. Go STERN!

Thank's for the info guys.
