Default Problem with Sportster

Folks:

I have a 2 year old Sportster that recently began to crap out on me. First, it would just show "Acquiring Signal" and not find one anywhere. Also, it doesn't show the orange glow at all.

Thinking it might be a power problem, I bought a new replacement power adapter for my DeVille and the problem went away.

After about 1 month, the problem is back. The problem is there also when I take it into the house and use the home adapter.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I scrap it? Can I get them repaired? Is it worth it to try and repair it?

Thanks!!

i'd say repair wouldn't be worth the time or the money. invest in a sportster replay. you will love it

I would agree, reparing it isn't really going to be worth what they will probably charge for an out of warrantee repair.

If you can hold on a little longer they are release the new Sporster 4 and that is what I'd get. But if you need something now the Starmate Replay or Streamer GTR would be my choice.

There is some question as to whether the Sp4 will be compatible with the Sportster and Sportster Replay accessories.

Actually not from what I am hearing, I dont' think they will be compatible at all. But the good news is that going forward they are going to be using a universal docking system, so at least the cradles in the future will be compatible.
