Default Newer Starmate Replay Sound Quality

I've posted a few times in the last weeks concerning a diminished sound from the Newer Starmate Replays with the weaker fm transmitters when hard wired to home receivers or car stereos. CS had no answers. Had an older one that broke and thankfully I fixed it and send back the warranty replacement.

Anyway, for those of you with one purchased after August or so and have the unit wired into a home receiver or car stereo, you can achieve sound like what came out of the older ones. Simply turn the fm transmitter 'Off' and immediately you will think you have turned the receiver up a few notches and have added more wattage to the sound. The new one I have sounds just like my old one now with the transmitter off.

The myriad of nice folks I spoke with at CS and warranty couldn't point me in this direction. But fortunately it works. Would venture a guess that even the new units that recently hit store shelves also suffer from this difficiency in sound quality. Hope you all out there can try this and it works for you!!
