Default I bought the Sportser 4 today...its great but i have a problem with it already...

I bought the Sportser 4 today for my Honda. Its suction cupped and Best Buy installed it. Looks terrific and sound is great. I just have one little problem...the # one button doesn't work. When I press # 1 on the remote, it works fine...but when i press the #1 on the receiver, I get no response whatseoever. Does anyone else have any problems like this with the number buttons on the receiver. I bought an extended warranty and Im going to go back to best buy tomorrow and see what they can do for me. All I need is a working receiver...i dont need the rest of the stuff that comes in the automobile package because its already installed in the car, but as far as i know, the Sportster 4 doesnt sell the receiver sepapately, only a part of the auto package. i think. So 2 questions.

1. Does anyone else have any button issues on their sportster 4 receiver? (Is this a known manufacturers defect?)
2. Since Best Buy immediately installed the car package, including receiver right after i bought it, but i didnt notice that the # 1 button doesnt work until i was driving home, how can Best Buy accomodate me? I dont need to return the items in the car pack that was installed in my car, but I do need a new receiver. Any thoughts on what they might do/say?

They will open up a new package and just replace the receiver. Then you can call Sirius and do a "tuner swap," which is free. Then you'll be good to go.

Check out that #1 button first.

The buttons on some receivers do tend to stick at times. I have a starmate replay and the #3 button stopped working the other day. The receiver is 2 months old. It'll come back, just apply some pressure to the button and hold down for a bit. But in this case I would get BB to just replace it.

Had buttons other than the numbers buttons only work when pressed down hard, and they seem to come back and work again.

Thanks for the responses.

I want to Best Buy today and they did what you guys said. They just took a new receiver out of a different box (kind of makes you wonder what will happen to the rest of the stuff in the box) anyhow, im happy, i can listen to channels with the number 1 in them lol.

BTW, I kind of wrot this in another thread, but ive subscribed to sirius for about 2 it for howard before he was even on the air, but i ended up liking other stuff on it. Then i just bought a honda about 2 months ago and it came with XM radio. I decided to give up on Sirius...i fifured with the xception of howard how different can the programming be on XM and Sirius. Well, I ve had XM for about a month now and I hate it. Im not buying a membership once my free trial ends. Sirius has much better programming...XM i felt like i was constantly changing the dial to try to find something to listen too. So, I ended up getting a new sirius plug n play and getting it professionaly installed in my looks great and the sound is awesome! So, I actually have XM and Sirius in the same car right im sticking with the sirius...xm is really bad imo.
