Post Green / Blue Dot Stickers on Back of Sportster Replay Units - Meaning of Each?

I've heard that the Blue Dot Stickers on the backs of Sirius Sportster Replay models indicate new, weaker FM transmitters.

Last night at Best Buy, I saw Sirius Sportster Replay boxes and units with GREEN Dot Stickers on the back?

Can anyone please clarify the differences, as it now stands, of BLUE Dots versus GREEN Dots versus No Dot at all?

Thank you very much for any insight you can provide.

I too am interested in knowing what the green dot means. Purchased one of the $50 Sportster Replays at BestBuy. It has a green dot (on the rear of the packaging box, to the left of the SID label on the radio). Anyone have the answers as to what the different colort dots/labels mean?

Default GREEN / BLUE Dot Stickers on Back of Sportster Replay Units - Meaning of Each?

So far, BEST BUY is the only place where I have seen the GREEN Dot stickers on the backs of the Sportster Replay units.

After seeing the GREEN ones at one BEST BUY store last night, I went to another BB store in the same metro area, and their units had no stickers on the back at all.

As the inventory of non-FCC-compliant FM Transmitters on the Sportsters was "supposed" to be depleted back during the summer, I am curious as to what significance the non-stickered units at the other BEST BUY had.

I got a Sportster Replay from sirius.com a month ago, and it's got a green dot on the back. Never thought anything about it until now.

From my experience with newer units, and posts in another forum. Green dots signify newer (weaker) transmitters. Could only posit that a blue dot means the same thing.

I received a new starmate about 3 months ago, and it had the green dot, and a weaker transmitter.

i have a new unit with a green dot and it gets about 10ft fm transmission. i have one with no dot and it has about 100yds transmission through walls.

i spoke with sirius and they told me 2 reasons, one the FCC made them lower the signal and another is people were sharring the transmission feed. reguardless which one is true it sucks not to be able to listen from any radio around your house from one unit.
