Post Smaller lighter Stilleto?

Sirius needs to develop, if they don't have plans to already, a smaller, lighter version of the Stilleto. Without the wi-fi and mp3 capabilities. With a belt clip, that would sell for under $150. If they had something like this, that worked flawlessly, they would sell millions.

Agreed.

I still think the portable players that XM has are MUCH, MUCH cooler looking.... and looks can be a big selling point.

Well looks are in the eyes of the beholder, I've got an Inno and I've not only really never cared for the looks of it. I absolutely HATE the small display. I personally like the current S50 and Stiletto much better in terms of looks and displays. Don't even get me started on the user interface.

I agree, smaller isn't always better, if smaller means smaller display(and I don't see how it wouldn't) I'm fine with the size. It fits fine in my pocket, though I do worry I'm scratching the screen doing so, but oh well. As for the looks, it looks pretty damned cool to me.

Why not order the overlays then you don't have to worry about scratching the display? I've had mine covered from the day I took it out of the box.

I'll risk it, don't want a plastic film over the screen.

Works for me! But there is a solution, I don't even notice mine as it doesn't change the display at all.

that's cool, though I did notice the film when I took it out of the box, which is why I took it off, I hesitated for a second thinking 'maybe I should leave it on to protect it' but I said nah. I put my Treo in my pocket all the time, often besides loose chain and my car keys, and it looks fine.

btw, DAB, can you give me access to the Howard forum? I sent a request over the weekend after I joined but I'm wondering if my low post count is the reason I haven't been accepted yet.

I think they'll sell plenty of Stilletos anyway. Sure, XM is already on their second generation of portable receivers and theirs are smaller, but the Stilleto looks like it's a good effort and personally I think it's still a reasonable size.

Well the film that was on my Stiletto when I got it was not the same as the overlays. The cover that came on it when I bought it was sort of frosty with a picture of the Stiletto display on it. So, that would not work. But the overlays are clear and hardly noticeable at all.

By the way I approved your Howard forum access.
