please dont take offense to this question..

did you do this gently? or did you just shove it into the dock daily? i have never had a plug and play radio go bad..ever..

no offense taken at all - i totally did it gently, especially after my first one broke. also the starmate replay 3 doesn't have a dock, you plugged in the power supply cord, antennea and audio out all individually both at home and in the car. that's what i'm saying - how can it be plug n play if i did just that and the power supply physcially came out on two of them?

i've worked with electronics a lot - i manage a $100K+ editing system and i have tons of gadgets at home i know how to treat my equip properly...

thanks. if that one breaks try a starmate 3 or 4. it uses the universal docks. no plugging in of anything required to move from a to b..

Default Starmate Replay (ST2)

The same thing happened to me recently, but it was the audio out jack that broke, and now it won't even turn on. Seems to me they shouldn't be avertised as plug and play devices if they can't hold to daily transportation. Now I'm going to have to deal with the newer, weaker, fm modulators.

man you are EXACTLY right that's the whole problem. they advertised them as Plug n play. that's where i really fault sirius in misleading us. that is not fair.
