Did you do the Mod too? The mod plus the wire was a huge improvement.

What also helps:
Move the tranmitter, sometimes if it is close to in-wall wiring or other equipment can cause interference. Also, point the antenna and the added wire at your intended target. Also, I added this wire to the receiving antenna also, making the receiving antenna much higher and also pointed it at the transmitter.

havent really read much about this working in the car

or making it sound better than the fm mod??

I have both the Crane and the WHT and they both are not very good, even after modding the Crane.

I recently bought an assembled Ramsey fm25b off of Ebay and could not be happier. Well worth the extra money.

You get what you pay for.

Just got my CCrane about two weeks ago.WHAT A PRODUCT! I am very pleased with the results,and I didnt even have to do the mod!My neighbors house is about 500 feet away and he receives my signal loud and clear.For fifty bucks (I got an orphan) you cant beat it.

If anyone is looking for more range you should look at EDM transmitters. www.edmdesign.com . They have a 10mW or 100mW models and even dual 10mW - 100mW output models. I have the dual output model and I'm very impressed.
