Default Starmate 4 question

When changing the display from the default to the larger font does only the artist and song track info change leaving the channel name/number, clock, etc along the top and bottom the same or are those replaced due to the larger font?

Hope that makes sense...

Also...from what I understand the Starmate has to be in the dock to work. Correct? Is the same true of the Sportster?

Yes, when you hit "display" the larger font is displayed in the center section but the upper and lower banners remain the same.

Yes, it must be in the dock. Same for the Sportster4.

So other than the Starmate replay what other receivers do not need the dock to work?
